Maple (Re) Leaf
Connect to the Maple Leaf for Mental Health
You can now support Mental Health at Grand River Hospital for both Children and Adults while adding a little flare to your garden through the brand-new Maple (Re) Leaf initiative.
Maple (Re) Leaf is a Canada-wide art installation to raise funds for Mental Health programs and services in communities across the country, including right here in Kitchener, Waterloo & Cambridge. As the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic continue to take a toll on all of our mental health and emotional wellbeing, there’s never been a better time to take part in this new initiative.
There’s more than a little star-power behind this campaign as Canadian icons and celebrities such as Jason Priestley, Kim Coates, Jully Black and more, have all filmed videos inviting YOU to be a part of Maple Re(Leaf). The Maple Leaf itself is designed by renowned Canadian artist, Charles Pachter – and you can get one of your very own!
Here’s how it works:
- Head to Grand River Hospital Foundation Maple (Re) Leaf and make a $30 donation or more to support Mental Health.
- In return, we’ll plant one Maple Leaf on your behalf at an installation site, if we get to 1500 leafs we'll do one right here in our community. And we'll send you a digital badge replica available to download.
- Businesses and organizations are also encouraged to consider supporting this campaign through sponsorship, allowing for even more beautiful Maple Leafs to be planted and more funds to be raised to support mental health programs at Grand River like CAIP. To learn more about the sponsorship opportunities available, call Paul McIntyre Royston, CEO at 519-504-4535.
