Tobi Day-Hamilton joined the Board of Governors in 2018, and was also a member of the Foundation’s Marketing & Communications Committee. Tobi’s extensive knowledge and experience with developing highly successful communications, marketing, fundraising, and engagement campaigns are just some of the key attributes that make her a great community leader in helping to champion for a wold class health system close to home.
Tobi is a passionate advocate for education and engagement, and welcomes challenging opportunities with enthusiasm. In her role as Director of Strategic Initiatives at the University of Waterloo, Tobi led strategic planning and implementation for Waterloo’s research and innovation endeavours.
Tobi is also the co-founder and Executive Director of LAUNCH Waterloo, an organization dedicated to inspiring young people to explore STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math).
Tobi participated in the 2012 Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference (GGCLC), and has also served as the GGCLC Southwestern Ontario Regional Chair. She holds degrees from the University of Waterloo and McMaster University, is a self-proclaimed geek, an early adopter of technology, a Mount Everest trekker, and an avid adventure seeker.
