Palmerston Dialysis Unit

Located at the Palmerston and District Hospital, the Palmerston satellite unit helps kidney patients receive care in their own community. This is especially important for kidney care patients who require dialysis treatment multiple times every week, with each treatment lasting approximately four hours.

Grand River Hospital's renal program is a regional centre with chronic kidney disease services for those living in Waterloo Region and Wellington County, so having to travel back and for to Kitchener from the far reaches of the community a number of times each week, can be particularly cumbersome for patients. That's why we have three satellite dialysis units in the community in addition to our primary unit at Grand River's Kitchener-Waterloo Campus.

Make a donation to the Palmerston dialysis unit, and support kidney care close to home.
