Join us at AI in Health, a free event featuring Tomi Poutanen and presented by the University of Waterloo. Tomi is the CEO and co-founder of Signal 1, and he was recently named a Maclean’s Top 10 Health Care Innovator. This great article highlights the recent partnership between Signal 1 and Grand River Hospital and the ways in which we are using artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance patient care.

Before Signal 1, Tomi co-founded Layer 6, which was acquired by TD Bank, where he served as the Chief AI Officer. He has also had previous exits to Microsoft and Yahoo!, and he is a co-founder of Vector Institute for AI.

Tomi holds a BSc in Computer Engineering from University of Waterloo and both an MSc in Computer Engineering and an MBA from University of Toronto.
