When every minute counts, it’s critical to have world class care close to home. Helping an average of 200 patients every day, Grand River’s emergency department is at the ready 24/7, 365 days per year, providing lifesaving and critical care when we need it most.

In 2021, midway through the third wave of the pandemic, Grand River Hospital scored so highly on provincial emergency service measurements, like wait time for care, that we received recognition as one of the top 10 emergency and critical care centres in Ontario. High praise that holds to light the incredible dedication, expertise and patient-centred focus of those who put the lives of others in front of their own, every single day. Not only did they provide urgently needed care for people without COVID-19, they worked tirelessly to give life-saving measures to hundreds who were, including many transferred to Grand River from much larger cities.

In March 2022, we granted $14,062 to the hospital for the greatest needs of Emergency & Critical Care.

TAX RECEIPTS

Tax receipts are automatically sent once you have completed the payment information and checked out on the site. If you do not see an email come through with your tax receipt please check your junk or spam email folders. Email subject line is Grand River Hospital Foundation Donation Receipt if you are searching for it.

When donating any information entered in the Billing Address fields on the payment screen will be used to generate an automatic tax receipt. If company name is added here the tax receipt will be issued to the company.

If you donation is in honour of a friend or loved one you can email a digital e-card directly upon making a donation.

E-cards are available for donations in memory and in celebration, and each e-card allows you to customize the message being sent. In order to send the e-card you would need to know the email address of the recepient.

On the completed payment screen you will see the available e-card options or you can click on this link and send a card and message directly.

The Foundation will only notify individuals on request. You can use the cart note functionality to provide a message and full contact details.
