Each incubator costs $50,000, and generous donors like you have already stepped up to deliver two incubators to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in 2021. New equipment, like these additional incubators, are not funded by the government. All equipment must be funded by you: the supporters in our communities.

In September 2021, we granted over $88,769 to the hospital for the two initial Giraffe Incubators.

Small but Mighty - Empowering Babies' Journey

In the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), this incubator combine innovative technology with exceptional thermal performance; the Giraffe Incubator Carestation is a state-of-the-art neonatal environment that promotes natural, peaceful healing, while fostering a close bond between families and their babies, allowing them to be present for every step of the journey. They also provide physicians with better access to their smallest patients, improving their ability to provide successful treatment.

Promoting Neurodevelopmental Care and Growth

The Giraffe Incubator Carestation was thoughtfully designed to nurture the close connection between babies and their caregivers, allowing parents comfortable, close access to their babies and family-friendly information about their babies’ progress, while clinicians can closely care for their newborn patients. 

Family-Centred Care

Elevating base designed to accommodate standing caregivers and seated family. Pass-through drawer allows full-seated access to promote crucial parent-baby bonding. Side door panels can be removed completely for greater access. Parent-friendly away screen display.

Tax receipts are automatically sent once you have completed the payment information and checked out on the site. When donating any information entered in the Billing Address fields on the payment screen will be used to generate an automatic tax receipt. If company name is added here the tax receipt will be issued to the company.

If you donation is in honour of a friend or loved one you can email a digital e-card directly upon making a donation.

E-cards are available for donations in memory and in celebration, and each e-card allows you to customize the message being sent. In order to send the e-card you would need to know the email address of the recepient.

On the completed payment screen you will see the available e-card options or you can click on this link and send a card and message directly.

The Foundation will only notify individuals on request. You can use the cart note functionality to provide a message and full contact details.
