PTSDx: One Person’s Journey Towards Healing

Grand River Hospital is partnering with Centre In The Square for an amazing, free event to help stop the stigma around mental health and PTSD. Taking place on June 14, 2022, PTSDx: One Person’s Journey Towards Healing will be an evening of education, resources, sharing stories and, more importantly, sharing hope. The event will feature a panel discussion moderated by Gale O’Brien of Dave FM, followed by keynote speaker Lt. Col (Ret.) Stephane Grenier.

The PTSDx panelists include Grand River’s very own Dr. Mazin Al-Battran; speakers from Boots On The Ground, I’ve Got Your Back 911 and 1st Responders Helping 1st Responders; Terry Oliver (Courage Wolf podcast host and police officer); and Vanessa Vis (Halton EMS Union President and PTSD advocate). Panelists will share stories and first-hand experiences with mental health challenges and PTSD to help those who have experienced trauma feel less alone and share the available support options.

All are welcome to attend this event. If you or someone you love is experiencing mental health challenges or PTSD, please join us on June 14th at 7:30 p.m. at the Main Theatre in Kitchener. While tickets are free, pre-registration is required. For more information or to get your tickets, visit https://centreinthesquare.com/event/ptsdx-one-persons-journey-towards-healing/
