World Kidney Day: Celebrating Your Impact on Kidney Care

Kidney Care at Grand River Hospital encompasses all of the services and care options we offer for those living with chronic kidney disease and acute kidney failure. This World Kidney Day, we wanted to say thank you and share how you have had a positive impact on kidney care at Grand River Hospital.

Over the past year, you’ve continued to enhance the care and experience for kidney care patients at the hospital. You raised $16,499 for the Kidney Care Support Program and provided our renal team with much needed medical equipment, including hemodialysis machines and replacement dialysis chairs that that are designed to be more comfortable for patients and support long-term treatment.

To further enhance patient experience at the hospital, your support also made it possible to provide programs and equipment that elevate the experience across all areas of care. These are just a few of the highlights:

  • A new MRI machine, generously funded by Equitable Life of Canada
  • The KW4 Ontario Health Team (OHT): a group of health and wellness partners working together to create a local health care system that better meets the specific needs of our communities
  • A new, game-changing WiFi network for patients and visitors—the first phase of our GrandServe program

Continue to make a difference for kidney care patients this World Kidney Day. Visit our Kidney Care Collection or donate directly to one of the impactful items below:
