Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential for safeguarding the health and well-being of vulnerable premature infants and critically ill newborns, as well as healthcare providers. Given the delicate immune systems of neonates, strict infection control measures are paramount to prevent the transmission of pathogens and minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections. PPE such as gloves, masks, gowns, and face shields serve as vital barriers against potential sources of contamination, including pathogens carried by caregivers, visitors, or equipment. By wearing appropriate PPE, healthcare providers in the NICU can reduce the likelihood of cross-contamination, protect infants from infectious diseases, and uphold the highest standards of patient safety and care.
All donations to Tools of Care products goes toward the vital equipment the hospital needs in the highest priority order AND all of these tools are proudly used and needed in our Hospital.
