Williard Family Super Bowl Party
This year, the Williard family is excited to host their 13th Annual Super Bowl Tailgate
Party—an event that has become a beloved tradition and a fantastic way to support a great cause. What started as a fun gathering has now grown into a community event that attracts over 200 guests.
For the past six years, it’s also served as a fundraising initiative benefiting the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre. The Williard family has experienced firsthand the vital services provided by the Cancer Centre, having seen many friends and loved ones rely on its care. In honor of these personal connections, they’ve turned their Super Bowl Sunday celebration into a day of fun, food, and philanthropy.
Thanks to generous donations from guests and exciting raffle prizes, the Williard family has raised over $60,000 in just six years. Their last in-person event in 2020 was the most successful to date, raising an impressive $16,250.
The day is all about enjoying good company, great food, and even better causes. Guests will indulge in 100 pounds of wings, expertly prepared by Scott Williard, along with a variety of delicious dishes contributed by attendees. The spread is complemented by local craft beer, soda, and plenty of kid-friendly drinks. A large fire pit ensures everyone stays warm, and the atmosphere is filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the spirit of giving.
This event isn’t just about watching the big game—it’s about coming together as a community to support the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre, all while creating unforgettable memories.
