The team at GFL Environmental Inc.’s Kitchener division went above and beyond to make the holidays special for kids at Grand River Hospital this year. Through GFL’s Full Circle Project, they generously donated $5,000 to Grand River Kids and hosted a toy drive, collecting toys for kids who would be spending time in the hospital over Christmas.

As the Omicron variant causes COVID-19 cases to surge throughout the province, our health care system is at its breaking point. Despite now having more tools and knowledge to help us combat COVID-19, our current actions are not enough to effectively slow the influx of patients requiring care, making this by far the most challenging wave for health care workers and our health system to date.
