As we celebrate our 125th anniversary, we are reaching out to our community to uncover amazing stories that help tell our collective story. Our wonderful Grand River Hospital Archives team has shared with us some priceless pieces of Grand River Hospital Holiday History:  Our 1949 Operating Nursing Staff in the Operating Room work room at Kitchener Waterloo Hospital. A Warm Welcome to New Members of our Board

Please join us in welcoming two new members to the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Rounding out our team of dedicated community leaders, Dr. Neil Naik and Hongwei Liu joined the Board in the fall of 2020. Dr. Neil Naik practices family medicine in Waterloo, Ontario where he teaches family medicine and office management to medical students as an Assistant Clinical Professor at McMaster University.  Dr. Naik grew up in the GTA and studied medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Celebrating 125 Years at Grand River Hospital

In 1893, Berlin, Ontario (renamed Kitchener in 1916) found itself in need of a genuine advance of medical care. The small but growing community realized that a hospital of their very own would support the increasing population, as well as care for the less fortunate, as they grew into a town and then a city. Grand Grill COVID-19

In response to Provincial Regulations and the growing health concerns of the community, the decision has been made to close the Grand Grill early. The event was originally slated to run until October 12, but as of today will be closed until next year.The outpouring of support from the Waterloo Region has been incredible and for that we say, thank you. In response to Provincial Regulations and the growing health concerns of the community, the decision has been made to close the Grand Grill early. The event was originally slated to run until October 12, but as of today will be closed until next year.  We are encouraging all our participants to cancel their Grand Grills in order to keep our community safe. The outpouring of support from the KW region has been truly touching, and Grand River Hospital is beyond grateful for the generosity and support of its community.
