Hospital cost ~ $65,000
A bronchoscope is used to be able to diagnose lung problems, such as trouble breathing, a consistent cough, or something abnormal showing up on a chest X-ray or CT scan. It's inserted into your mouth or nose, down through your vocal cords, and into your lungs. The bronchoscope has a small camera that sends pictures to a screen to help the doctor navigate during the procedure. If necessary, the doctor will use the bronchoscope to gather tissue or fluid samples. The procedure usually takes 30-45 minutes and shouldn't hurt.
All donations exceeding our fundraising goal will support the highest priority needs of Emergency & Critical Care. You will receive a tax receipt for the full amount in an email following your donation.
In September 2022, we granted over $110, 815 to the hospital for two new bronchoscopes.
All donations to Tools of Care products goes toward the vital equipment the hospital needs in the highest priority order AND all of these tools are proudly used and needed in our Hospital.
