Donations in Memory of Carol Baier
Carol was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012 and every year since then, she supported Run for the Cure. For her, this not only symbolized hope, but also her desire to pay it forward. Over the years, she participated in varying capacities and raised in excess of $50K. She never gave up and did her best.
When she was undergoing cancer treatment at the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre in 2022-23 she found out about the Scotland’s Yard fundraising project and was completely taken by this initiative that would benefit children and their cancer journey. Your memorial donation will support Grand River Hospital through Scotland's Yard as they raise funds for a PET scanner. This diagnostic tool will keep cancer diagnosis - for children and adults - closer to home. It was Carol’s wish that any donations made in her name support this much needed facility.
We miss her beautiful smile, but she will always be remembered with love by her family and friends.

When donating, any information entered in the billing address fields on the payment screen will be used to generate an automatic tax receipt. If a company name is added here, the tax receipt will be issued to the company.
If your donation is in honour of a friend or loved one, you can email them a digital e-card upon making a donation.
E-cards are available for donations made in memory and in celebration of someone, and each e-card allows you to customize the message being sent. In order to send an e-card, you will need to know the recipient's email address.
When you reach the completed payment screen, you will see the available e-card options, or you can click this link to send an e-card and message directly.
The Foundation will only notify individuals upon request. You can use the cart note function to provide a message and contact details for the recipient.
