Run for GRRCC
JAN 2024 Update:
We are pleased to announce that after our 2023 events, $13,078 was raised toward the purchase of a Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy Board! Together, with the assistance of other contributions specifically designated for the equipment, we are pleased to begin the process of purchasing a second SBRT Board for the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre.
| This year the team is aiming high, raising funds for a much needed Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy Board.
These boards are precise, stable and easy to use that enables clinicians to apply the most effective radiation treatment methods for thoracic and abdominal tumours. Having this type of equipment and care means our friends and family can receive cancer treatment close to home and don’t have to travel to other hospitals outside Waterloo Region

Message from Rich Peers
Run-Walk for GRRCC was born out of a calling to give back. My father passed away from Pancreatic Cancer in 2015. The care and compassion he received at Grand River Regional Cancer Centre is something my family will never forget. Supporters of our event also have a connection to the Cancer Centre. They want to ensure residents of Waterloo Region and Guelph Wellington will have access to the best cancer care close to home. This event could not be possible without the commitment from the fundraising team, friends, volunteers and our tremendous support partners in the community. 2022 marked our 7th annual Run-Walk, together with my team we have raised $60,000! This year we are aiming high, we are raising funds for a much-needed Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy Board.

Saturday, September 23rd, 2023, 8am-2pm at Huron Natural Area in Kitchener. It's a free community event for all. Starting at the main pavilion, we will have a short loop marked on the gravel paths. No sign-up required! |

Saturday, October 21st, 2023, all events begin at 8am The course is a 2.5km loop: well maintained and marked trail through the forest at the Camp Heidelberg property of the Optimist Club of Kitchener Waterloo. 5km, 10km, 25km, 50km, 6 & 12 hour ultra event. Wise Raven Trail Race supports Run for GRRCC 2023 fundraising campaign. |

TAX RECEIPTS
Tax receipts are automatically sent once you have completed your payment information and checked out. If you do not see an email come through with your tax receipt, please check your junk or spam email folders. The email subject line is Grand River Hospital Foundation Donation Receipt.

When donating, any information entered in the billing address fields on the payment screen will be used to generate an automatic tax receipt. If a company name is added here, the tax receipt will be issued to the company.
If your donation is in honour of a friend or loved one, you can email them a digital e-card upon making a donation.
E-cards are available for donations made in memory and in celebration of someone, and each e-card allows you to customize the message being sent. In order to send an e-card, you will need to know the recipient's email address.
When you reach the completed payment screen, you will see the available e-card options, or you can click this link to send an e-card and message directly.
The Foundation will only notify individuals upon request. You can use the cart note function to provide a message and contact details for the recipient.
